Hee J. Kim

Principal Attorney Serving Los Angeles County
Kim brings over a decade of extensive litigation experience to Litigation, P.C.
Kim began his career in special education law, personal injury and contract disputes. Kim helped recover millions for his personal injury clients — ranging from minor incidents to wrongful deaths — and regularly assisted defense attorneys representing individuals, public entities, and private corporations against personal injury claims.
In special education law, Kim represented students with disabilities in public school districts to ensure that they received the services and accommodations necessary to obtain an educational benefit. At the time, Kim argued in one case that his client, a pre-k aged student with disabilities, was entitled to have the public school district pay for her placement in a private school so that she had the opportunity to engage with typical peers. The public school district disagreed, arguing that pre-k public schooling was not compulsory in California. After the administrative judge agreed with Kim’s position, he successfully defended his argument on appeal in a federal district court. Kim defended the same argument against other school districts and obtained additional administrative law decisions and federal district court decisions agreeing with him, before successfully using those cases to obtain the same benefits for multiple other clients through settlement.
For almost the past decade, Kim focused his litigation practice in Los Angeles County, representing clients in his current areas of practice in business, real estate, and employment litigation. Illustrative case results can be found here.
At Litigation, P.C., Kim ensures that his team commits to the same fundamental principles for all their clients.
